Ahh ok. Some of my cyber friends talk about startlogic. I think its cool. Maybe you can ask both hosting companies bout some of your concerns. And try to have a good bargain if they can give you some. And since you are like stuck on this two hosting.
Weigh out your options. What are the pros and cons of going with StartLogic over Dot5 or visa versa? Also have you looked on WHT or reviews on these companies? If not you may want to try that out. There are also good resource sites out there like WHReviews.com that might have some useful information on these two providers. However, like metioned before WHT has tons of reviews on these two. Hope that helps in your choice.
Probably you found those prices comparation tables on a "hosting review" site or a site listing the "top 10 hosting companies".
Take in mind that those sites are created in base of how much each host pay for commission to their affiliates.
To be #1 there means that you're the higher payer, no more than that.
Neither company bought space from Ipowerweb. They are both owned by Ipowerweb in a fashion. Until recently and maybe now startlogic tech support was in the same building as Ipowerweb. They are not resellers and have different servers entirely and different pricing plans as well as different policies. You will get space on what is essentially the same hardware but on different subnets complete with their own routers. On paper all three are seperate companies and they are in fact run by different people all together as well as having seperate support teams. The only thing that is the same is the data centers.
Both dot5 and startlogic are owned by ipower, they use the same hardware and software(vDeck control panel) on the backend, and they share the same datacenter. As far as I know dot5 only has ****** india support(email, live chat) whereas startlogic has phone support based in the US.
And if you think ipower over sells their servers dot5 is way worse.
