I don't know what's the reason they hold my money, I think they have no rights to do so, since it's my hard earn money. But anyway, I spent $16 to fax 4 documents to them.
On 13/5/2002, paypal confirmed the receival of my fax.

But when I loggen on to my account page, I saw my account still under restricted status. I kept waiting, then I figured out something might went wrong, so I email them few times to ask about this matter, using the online feedback form or email to different addresses.
I received on 29/5/2002, 30/5/2002, 4/6/2002, the same reply everytime I email them.

I really needed my hard earned money urgently, although it's not much, but it means a lot to us. So after begging and pleading them hardly, if I have to kneel down to them, I really will do so, if they allow me to get my money back.
On 6/6/2002, I received this email, I was so happy

Your original request is below:
I kept waiting, but until today, I still see a restricted account on my account page.
I was so regret to use paypal.
I don't understand, that's my money, what rights do they have to hold my money and not let me to have my money back? I swear if anything happens to my family, I will hate Paypal for the rest of my life.
It's only $322, but it means a lot for us, we really need the money urgently. We earned 50 cents for each handicraft we made. It's hard earn money for us.
If I knew this, I would no use paypal. I really hate them now

beverly,
I'm sorry you are having these problems with paypal. I feel bad for you. I can imagine it must be hell. It's threads like this that make me feel unsafe about using PayPal.
I really like the service, don't get me wrong, but when I read stories like this, it makes me wonder what if it happens to me.

beverly,
Why don`t you call them on the phone. I wouldn`t put up with that $#@!
Last time they held $450 from me for no reason at all...when i finally called and spoke to the surpervisor...that`s the only way i was able to get my money.
PayPal is run by a bunch of complete idiots.

I just recently had my PayPal account put on restriction as well (last week)... After I tried to add my check card to my account - the next day I logged in and not the restricted notice.
I called, and they said, "Your card came back as lost/stolen"
I was like, "WTF?!?! I just used the card last night"
So I have to call up my bank (yes, still) and have them send me a statement saying that the above card is for the bank account, yadda yadda yadda...
*sigh*
I need the $70 that's in my account -- like right now... but nooooo paypal had to restriction my account for no damn reason.... GRRRR

Hi beverly,
Please contact me (damon@paypal.com) with your account email address. I would like to look at your case asap.
Hi rockergrrl,
PayPal does use some strong anti-fraud methods, which would include credit card verification. That sounds like the issue here (we get rejection reports when we attempt to authorize the card, so something (apparently) did not pass when you tried to add the card).
I would be more than willing to look at your issue as well.
Thank you for your patience.Damon

We use to accept paypal for customer payments but after losing over $300 we 'banned' it ;-)
The process to 'unrestrict' yourself was more complicated than i thought.
