Well i believe this question was asked many many times before, sorry for repeating, but since mb5 come out with all his bugs.. so what you would recommend me.. ? or maybe clientexec ? also it would be nice that people wound't need register for kayako and for billing system seperetly.. i know mb4 had this plugin, what about another? Thanks indeed.
I'm currently testing WHMCS (www.whmcs.com) and it's looking pretty good. Another I was looking at was AWBSW (www.awbs.com), but I haven't tested that one. I'm leaning towards WHMCS at this point, partly because it has an importer from my current app, Autopilot.
I can't comment on CE, since I haven't used it since it's very early days.
Agreed about MB; tried and didn't like it at all.
WHMAP (autopilot) was decent, but the new version left me cold, and I'm moving off before the 2x series is "end of life".
Once you get past the UGLY.. it is actually a very good billing management system. It has the best domain management features I've seen in any billing script.
They don't offer any screenshots of the admin area on their website, but has pretty much every feature included in ModernBill (v4), plus more.
I highly recommend trying their "trial period" and testing it out. Once you use it, you'll immediately see how powerful it is.
www.whmcs.com is good if you just need a decent billing system that has basic features. But it lacks many of the advanced features that make me like AWBS more. (ie: whmcs is probably fine for most smaller start-up companies that don't have any complex or special requirements. awbs is better if you intend to grow and need more features/power/flexibility.)

I recommend MobernBill over WHMAP, for the simple fact that it allows for flexible useability features. Yes, I do agree with you that MB5 has tons of bugs. However, 4 is still great to use until 5.1 comes out. We can't upgrade to 5.0 yet for the simple fact that they don't have our merchant integrated as of yet with 5.0...crazy.
I would recommend Modernbill, I used the old WHMAP and wasn't satisfied with it at al, however Modernbill is far more customizable and it also gets the job done. It has its problems, but for the most part it is very stable and works well enough. However, make sure you use 4.4 and not 5.0, as it is not really stable and doesn't support all payment gateways. That is quite annoying...

Ive no experience with WHMautopilot, but have a modernbill a while now, and found to work very well (v4.4), it has alot of functions that come in handy. I found that sitting down and spending an afternoon getting to know it really made it easy to understand
Well personaly i tried all billing systems, awbs, whmcs, modermbill, umber... and i really like only one "WHM AUTOPILOT" V2. Simple, easy to use. Friendly client managment, i'am talking about version 2, not version 3.. V3 made many people hate autopilot..
How do these types of software systems work? I bought a reseller account that didn't come with either, and I don't think I can set up new domains or new hosting packages without it. Do the software have to be installed on the owner of the server's end or can I install them remotely? If so I would like some pointers on how to go about doing this. Thanks in advance!
