This might sound crazy (and no I'm not from the ice age) but I've never owned a cordless phone before! I've always owned phones with a cord but the cord is now starting to drive me crazy. I can't walk around and talk on the phone at the same time because the cord is entrapping me.
So I bought a cordless phone but my question is... does anybody here have an issue with the battery running low while talking? This phone is for business and I'm on the phone many hours each day sometimes... would the cordless phone battery go dead on me do you think or is this not an issue?
It says there is only 5 hrs talk time so if I'm on the phone all morning by noon my phone would croak and I'd not be able to use it until it recharges on the base?
That's what I thought... only reason I was wondering is because I have a friend who uses his phone a lot for business and has whined a few times in the past that his battery was dying in the middle of a call with me. But that was always when I was upset at him so perhaps he was just trying to escape me and it was a convenient excuse
Well, that is why I have multiple phones, if one is dying the other works.
My phones are some nice 5.4Ghz models but the battery life is TERRIBLE. Talk time about 2.5 hours and standby it will be dead in 48 hours. So I have two with one always on a charger so I know I have an available phone.
(good thing is it charges fast, about 2 hours full charge)
I bought several different ones and I think I like this one the best and returned the others... but still don't like it. I don't like the way that they design the cordless phones. The way the ear piece area is designed I mean. The area where you put your ear should be raised a bit... not flat. They make all of them flat so when you place the phone up next to your ear... the phone's display screen touches the side of your face and if you have oily skin all the smudges from your face shows up on the phones display screen. I HATE it!
Not to mention it's uncomfortable the waythey make it flat.
I only found one phone which had a really well designed cordless phone (phone was designed like a corded phone... meaning it had a raised area where you put your ear and was very comfortable)... but I hated the base the cordless phone sat on. I'm too picky!
