Best registrar for an european p2p website?

Hello,

I'm wondering which is the best registrar for my case. I have a website that is legal in my country (Spain) but can be threaten by a spanish big company, less likely an european big company or even by the police (it seems like they do what the powerful companies order). The domain is only used by a website which also have a forum (I mean that I do not need reseller plans and other stuff).

Price is not a problem.

Regards

I think that ANY registrar will suspend your domain after receipt of court order to do so. But I recommend Moniker, because they wouldn't suspend it BEFORE (I am not sure 100% - read their ToS).

Good luck!

But they should do it if they receipt a court of legitimate authority. If a registrar located in USA receive an "order" from a court of Spain, they don't have to obey that court.

Does anyone know key-systems.net (seems to be a group that own the popular domaindiscount24)? It is the registrar of mininova.com, thepiratebay.org, torrentspy.com...

Or you could also give gandi.net a look. I've yet to see or hear any complaints, and
I've seen various praises for them.

Dave, I am afraid that French registrar will at least seriously consider to shut the domain down, having Spanish court order at hand... It's almost the same country (EU), as you (I am sure) are aware of.

Well.. Domaindiscount24 (key-systems) is german...

What I don't know is where are these three torrent websites located. Thepiratebay I think is in Sweeden, Torrentspy maybe in USA and about mininova I have no idea.
