Smile How many domains do you own?

I have about 4 domains at the moment. Before that, I had around 8-9 before a few of them expired. I personally thought that was a pretty large amount, I mean who needs more than 10 domain names?

To my great surprise, I have seen members of this community with over 40, and I was absolutely shocked. It makes me wonder how many domains the average person actually has.

So if you want, just [tell us] how many domains you have << snip >>.

    Ill start!

    I have 4 domains << snip >>.

... and which your most valuable (USD) one is.
Most domain "enthusiasts" would have 500+ domains in order to "join the club". Anything less than that I would say it's more like a casual hobby.

Moreover, it's really difficult to say which 1 -IS- most valuable, since you will need to have SOLD it to know that, right?

    I have 10 I had 14 once.

I also had a bunch of .info's that I got for free.

If you count the .info at onestage I had over 50 domains.

All my domains are for personal use I dont buy and sell domains for profit.

I own, I think, over 35 but less than 40.

Most are business domains... some are at the top of google searches, others are, well, worthless outside of the fact that I like them and hope someone will like them one day

One is my mom's first name... I often joke in the family that I'll turn it into a porn site.

Some are pay per click... they pay for my hosting

I'm always looking for domains and buy one every now and again... I look for odd names that might be something one day... like zune.com or something (I don't own that, but neither does Microsoft)

    I focus on .com's
Windows 10 to Linux and Mac OSX: I'm PARSECs better than you. Eat my dust!!!

I have over 100. I tend to register them "to get to later". My eyes are much bigger than my wallet, but over the last 10 years or so, I've probably registered, bought, sold, and let go 5000+ domains.

In terms of monetary value, I have a domain name/website that makes over $20 per day with YPN. I guess that pays for my domain name addiction!

I have around 60 domains, at last count. Most of them are variants of my hosting brand. I think there's around 45 of them. Keeps the dogs off the front lawn and worth every penny. I also have a really nice generic aussie host domain, that brings in nice direct type traffic each mth.

Not really, as I have yet to find a useful domain appraisal service out there.

By the way, I have read people posting (bragging) about their 6-figure sales here.

I'm letting most of my domains expire now, don't have the time to develop them and too much hassle selling to be honest.

I have about 150. Business, variations of business URL, and personal. Most of them I've had for over 2 years. Back then I had time to do a few personal sites, but now business is at the point where I don't have time for personal sites and can't quite afford to pass on some of the work yet.

    Adding to the survey:

I have about 20 of my own and another 65 which I manage for clients.

I am adding on the average about 3-6 a month.

    That is good!

    Hundreds.

Why don't I have a specific count? Because they're too spread out to count.

I've got about a hundred at registerfly right now, thats the only one with a whole bunch.

76, some are just the plural of the singular domain and a couple are the initials of the registered domain

Don't worry mate, I think I'm worse than you.
I have over 100 and 90% of them suck. I use around 5 of them mwahaha.
Not gonna sell any either they are worthless, so just letting them expire.

The ones I like the most and use frequently are disgui.se, deadsun.org and c0ax.com.

I guess biocomm.net too cause I like the futuristic ones.

Aussie Bob - do you setup a one pager with a keywords, then forward it to your main domain, or do you just forward the domain?

  35. #35
you can pariked the domains and earn money.

This is my first posting :-)
I only have 2 domain and one of them I just purchase a couple days ago :-). I can't imagine people have 500 domain! how can they manage all that domain! if the price for one domain is 'say' $8, how much money they spend for a year for domain and hosting, that people must be earn a good income from their domain...

I'am quite sure that they don't have 100% of them up and running,
as complete and working as You have.

Yes, right now the forum was extremly slow..

This forum has been valuable to me several times.
It has helped me to confirmed my suspiction several times
when I thought something was wrong about services I have rented.
This has made me be able to pull out before the disaster occured.

Also to get my other questions answerd by other helpful proffesional members.

There might be other good forums, but I don't know anyone else with this kind of traffic.
