On linux, you can check /var/log/messages, however 3 days late you'll have to sift through a good bit of stuff before you find anything. You can also check the boot log. What OS are you running?

even on FreeBSD check /var/log/messages, and as its 3 days back thing you might have to look for bzipped up messages files.

It may be HW or kernel problem - check log.

If in the abovementioned logfiles there's no mention whatsoever around the time and date of the reboot. Either power switched off (assuming you've no backup), or there was a kernel panic and the kernel stopped outputing to logfiles. Yes it sucks, but it happens. , sometimes causes cannot be found.

Are you in a datacenter? did your upstream provider offer an explanation? Were you the only one with this problem?

Could be the provider rebooted the wrong machine, or someone was close to the rack, or maybe an automatic update?

If everything seems to be running fine then you don't have to worry about it too much, since it's 3 days later (probably 4 now) the trail is going to be pretty cold. Next time it happens however be sure to check your logs, maybe even make copies of them and see if you can find out why the server stopped.

Complete English sentences work rather well, perhaps you should try it some day. Maybe people might be more inclined to help you if first they can understand clearly what it is that you are seeking.

Have you sent in a support ticket asking why the server has been restarted? WHT isn't your host...

Not everyones native language is English. Least he makes sence, which is more than I can say for some other posts I've read on other forums
