Talking Please some help from you kind ppl out there.

Please someone help me out here I would be greatfull!

I know that is is asked alot and alot but I have looked all over these forums and all over the net looking for what I want. And well I wanna ask advice from you guys who know what your doing.

After looking around ALOT I get a feeling that Lunarpages or bluehost maybe the best but ill be honest and say I am basing it only on what I read a few other ppl say about it on forums.

    Summery:

I need a host that has a VERY VERY user friendly control panel. I mean If possible I want a host that can help adding things like forums/counters/mailing lists/newsletters/guestbooks (forums are very important to me so also need to know if PhPBB is better then vBullten (spellings?)) and other addons onto my site.

Please acctualy suggest good hosts and not say look more and pick carefully I swear I have done my homework and failed lol

As for end user friendly, I think that nothing beats Cpanel (at least that's what I think), for forum, I prefer Vbulletin over phpBB, however, take in mind that PhpBB is free and Vbulletin is a paid software.

http://www.simplemachines.org/ is worth some attention as well IMO.

That's generally not the job of a host, unless it specialises in application hosting, in which case the prices will easily reveal it.

Some will tout Fantastico as a tool to install applications fast, which it does achieve, but I continue to recommend manual installations. It's the fisrt step in learning how to take care of your website(s).

I vouch for the control panel DirectAdmin. I believe it's waaay user friendlier than cPanel. If you're wanting things that install scripts for you, you're also looking for a web host with Installatron.

Yes ty I had a look at the list for each. I think im going in favour of DirectAdmin and installetron. Demoed it on a few sites.

Can anyone recommend any Hosts that offer DA and Installetron?

I hear HostPC are fairly good. But thats the only host I have seen offering both. Are there any others so I can pick better?

If you are looking for user friendly, I would suggest cPanel. Most cPanel hosts also utelize Fantastico as mentioned which includes your phpbb Forums, and the entire list of features you've requested. Fantastico makes it easy by allowing you to select the directory you want the script installed in, then clicking a single button for a nice, easy, automated install.

Other than that, make sure you select someone with a solid support team so that if you run into any difficulties, they're there to help.

    Good luck in your search

I don't think I saw it anywhere -- do you have a budget in mind and any idea how much space/bandwidth you'll be needing?

I would recommend to go with a host which offer CPanel/Fantastico, Fantastico makes it very easy to install all the scripts your looking at. I would also recommend you to go with a host which has live support.

After demoing both control panels I went with hostpc.com that offers free installatron with direct admin which I liked.

God I hope it goes well

Congratulations DeathRaven. You made a wise choice. Installatron does exactly what fantastico does, but even better. Having used both control panels intensely.. DirectAdmin all the way!

I'm pretty sure if you get stuck (which I doubt you will!) HostPC will help you.

TY neo for making me feel like I made a good choice (I spent 1 whole week reaserching) its still early to say but everything has been going very smoothly so far with hostpc.com, when I needed something small fixed it was done in seconds with the live chat staff.
I am still very new to all this and wow is DA simple. Just waiting for my DNS to resolve but already set up what I want to. Its just great.

I have asked so much from all of you lol.
But.. I now use NetObjects 8 as my web design tool. I can make a site just fine. Tho can anyone suggest a few really super design tools?
