Google analytics looks good to me...the problem is that I'm registered to the service for the last 6 monthes...and thus only have a 6monthes view with Google analytics.
I have stats from the last 4 years and I often need to compare datas on long period of time, which I couldn't do with Analytics.
1) So, to make it short, is there a way to inject your "old" logs into Google analytics?
2) Is there another app that allows you to choose a referrer and see his progression during the year, month or week (like you can do with Google analytics) This is the major function that I'm waiting from a stat analyzer, so that I can see how my different advertiser bring traffic.
I have ads on everypage and analytics code on every page too
I would have thought adsense would be lower, because some adblock.
But Adsense says:
Impressions : 3,211,570
Maybe AdSense is the one that's not accurate? I seem to never trust what my AdSense statistics are. You don't have any filters setup on GA do you? I was also going to say that maybe the larger the site, the less accurate, but I manage sites that are doing numbers higher than that and it's always on. I couldn't say if GA to AS was accurate though, because AS isn't running on every single page.
What about this. Do you think AdSense counts an impression for each ad? Say you had 2 ads on a page, that means for every impression GA sees, AS sees it as two. Because I just started a website a week ago and it does, hold up, let me look.
Alright, for one week of stats it says I have 238 unique visits, and 641 impressions. Now, for AdSense, it's saying I have 1,238 impressions. I run between 2-4 Google ads on each page. If you do the math on that, factor in that people view more than one page, and you see where AS gets that number from.
