Which are the most usual hardware failures?
I want to know this in order to make a decision, if I said the exact reason I would remember you an specific failure and that would distort the poll.
Please post what do you think are the most common HARDWARE failures in a dedicated server?

RAM dying slowly, probably due to a poor power supply

It also can depend on the quality/brand of each. In my experiences, power supplies have failed a lot more often than raid cards. Hard drives are indisputably number one, however.

You forgot fans. They die at similar or worse rates to hard drives. When they start to fail, temperatures rise and electronics starts to fail.

Disks are cheaper/easier to replace than some fans though

When getting a server, make sure the power supply is good (high wattage).
Depens on your $ budget I would go with ECC memory as well, and supermicro products.
