    Google pagerank bug?

Since today, the google toolbar shows PR6 at my website, while it was PR3 before. When i do a PR check on prcheck.com it shows PR3. How can that be possible? A bug or what?

    Hi

I believe Google is updating their PR during the past few days again, we saw 6/10 for our site then back to 5/10, also note PRCheck isn't ran by Google so it might not be 100% accurate, personally I use FireFox or Opera's Google PR Addon and it's very accurate.

    Cheers

pr can be effected by whether or not you type in the www also.

Check here - it shows all the different servers. For one of my sites which appears to of just gone up some are showing the original rank, so depending on which server you happen to connect to at the time you will get a different result.

I'm hoping these new ranks stay though as I've had a site finally hit PR5.

my highest traffic sites have the lowest pr but they have the best google rankings.

i dont see how PR benefits anyone.

does anyone here have ANY idea what PR is good for?

    i really dont know.
