    Web Host Plus? Alex Katsev?

    Hello...

I have a site that had been hosted by a little company called dr2.net
Then it merged, changed names, and in short got bought out by WebHostPlus.

My site has been down for about a month now and they won't return my emails or telephone calls. I wanted to just switch to a new host but now I find out that my domain name underratedbeats.com is registered to a "Alex Katsev"

    How could this be???Hmmmm...

I talked to the enom.com and they say that I need to have the domain in my name for anything to happen... Now I'm stuck!!! Aghhhh!!!!!!

I've been looking up Alex Katsev and see that he owns some companies etc... But why is he the owner of my domain name???
Any suggestions? I need my site back, I've put money and got it front page of Google, Yahoo, and MSN!!! I can't switch the name now!

    WOW!!!! This is horrible...

    What should I do?

    Hi,

Your best bet would be to contact ENOM and try to see if they can get it back for ya, if not also try contacting webhostplus regarding thus, maybe if you're lucky they'll give the ownership of the domain to you in ENOM, (you can always register free account at enom for domain then them push domain to you).

There are also plenty of posts and threads on WHP if you do a search here on WHT regarding similar issues.

    Good luck.

UnderRated, I highly recommend doing a search here (top of page use the search button) on WebHostPlus. There's been a few very long running posts recently that might help you. Best of luck.

I had a domain stuck at webhostplus under ALex Katsev's name. eNom offered to transfer it to me, and a WHT member named sitekeeper was able to push the domain to me.

    Thanks for the replies...
eNom says I can't get my domain name because this Alex Katsev guy has his name on all the contacts... Administrative Contact, Technical Contact, and Registrant Contact are all in his name...

Lawyer is the only thing now??? Wow! This is ridiculous, I just want the domain name unlocked so I can transfer. Its worth nothing to them, this sucks!!!!!

Try contacting WHT member 'sitekeeper' as brendandonhu suggested.

Mine was registered in their name too and they offered to transfer it. I think they had 1 of the email addresses as mine though.

I'll move this thread to the Domain Name Forum, so that more people with experience in this kind of issue can see your thread.

So I guess enom or any other registrar should unlock every domain name for any
Tom Dick and Harry who claims this or that name is theirs, just like that. It's easy
to believe that without giving a hoot what it's like being on the other side.

Anyway, I understand your frustration. Enom's really not going to do anything for
potential legal issues like these unless you're prepared to demonstrate rights to
the domain name, and that can potentially cost a lot.

However, I believe brendandonhu gave an answer. Just be aware that if s/he will
do that for you, there can be potential risks involved.

    Hopefully there won't be.

Yeah, for sure, I understand but this guy's name and webhostplus obviously isn't a normal situation so I thought eNom could help a little...

    Gosh!

So. let's find all domains in that guy's name and take them!

(un)Fortunately, the things aren't done like this. I think and hope eNom will ask you for any evidence that said domain is yours. Like any invoices, historical whois records, your ID, etc.

    Hi,

I wish I could still help but I no longer work as outsource support for them, before as long as you opened a ticket asking this I would have helped.

I only worked for them for 3-4 months, it was very sad indeed. I still ask myself why so so many people stayed with them...

You only bet at this moment is wait for the site to come back up and make every effort to remove your data. I would try and find a way to reach this company - even if you hvae to go through WebHostPlus. Unfortunantly your almost better to spit in one hand and wish in the other and see which fills up faster WHP houses criminals as a part time hobby.

    WOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

You guys will never believe it but after at least 10 emails, 5 phone calls, and various trys from enom.com the WEBHOSTPLUS support lady helped me.

None of the support tickets worked, no tech support phone calls...
I saw a post here where somebody posted an employee's email who works for WHP. I wrote to about 10 different contact email yesterday but now 1 actually came back....

    I wrote:
    Hello Tammy,
I currently am paying to have your company host my site underratedbeats.com
My site hasn’t been up for almost a month and I’m not getting any response from tech support.
I just need my domain name to be unlocked so that I can transfer my domain.
According to the whois my domain name is owned by Alex Katsev.
Please contact me so we can get this taken care of.

    Thanks very much.

    Josh

    Then somebody named Tammy replied:
    Dear Josh,

I have forwarded your email to our domain specialist.

    Sincerely,

    Tammy Miro

So although I was suprised with the reply, I thought it was just a one sentence answer and I'd never here from them again but then I sent this back:

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply but I’ve already emailed them all and they haven’t got back to me.
I’ve also called the number and nobody will get back to me.
I just need my domain name to be unlocked so that I can transfer my domain.
According to the whois my domain name is owned by Alex Katsev.
I need it to be changed to Josh Leiderman.
Please contact me so we can get this taken care of.

    Thanks for your time,

    Josh

Then a lady named Natalia Kofman responded with this:

    Dear Client,
