    Dual core not working

My server runs on an AMD opteron 270.
    2.0 ghz, 2X 1mb, HT 800 mhz, etc.

When i run cat /proc/cpuinfo, i see processor 0 and processor 2 use the same physical ID = 0.
Does AMD's hypertransport create a virtual processor just like INtel's hyperthreading? Shouldn't the physical ID of proc 1 differ from proc 2 with dual core?

    Here are some screenshots.

Because of software licensing, a single 270 with two cores will show the same processor ID, with different core IDs.

HyperThreading was only a partial duplication of of the core. HyperTransport is the memory controller on chip instead of on the board. They are fundamentally different.
