Thanks for that info as I have seen other sites with links that did not reciprocate. I thought the bots would see the links whether one way or not as additional info so long as it is relevant to what I do
If the one way links on your site are appropriate to your context then it will benefit from the wording in the link.
If on the other hand they are not appropriate for your site it will confuse the SE.
Just to clarify (and correct me if I'm wrong), the use of the actual words will benefit SEO, not the use of them specifically as links. If those words are important to you, make sure your content reflects them. The linking part won't help.
Outbound links anchor text is more powerful than text on a page (not including headings, bold words etc)... however if it is important then sure stick it in the title, tag etc but you can't do that to everything. All I'm saying is that they do work for you when they are relevant.
