    ThePlanet Network

    Showing high ping times and lots of packet loss once I'm within TP's network. This is for almost all (if not all) of our boxes.

    Calling them now.

    Try a traceroute?

    My results are as follows:
    10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0% packet loss
    round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 16.173/17.162/18.027/0.721 ms
    My route is RoadRunner (residential cable ISP) => Houston L3 => Dallas L3 => TP's DC3 => TP's DC5

    Seems it was an abovenet issue. I'm still on the phone with tech (awesome help) and it looks like the issue is being resolved slowly.

    Hmm.. doing tests from a private cage in a VA-Abovenet Colo now.. results:

    10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0% packet loss
    round-trip min/avg/max = 29.2/29.2/29.5 ms
    This issue could be resolved or it could be a pipe in your part of the continent/another abovenet datacenter.

    Hopefully abovenet and TP will get things fixed shortly.
