Question First time SSL Cert buyer - info needed

This is my first time purchasing SSL cert (for my client).
    Who should I use?
Is it safe to assume that cheaper certs will give me a headache?

No it is not, most of them are pretty much the same. The differences are:
    1) Browser compat, most of them have good root cert in most browsers, it's kinda a mood point.
    2) Insurance - I've never actually heard of anyone actually claiming the insurance from SSL cert, so it's up to you.
    3) The shiny seal, some customers like them
    4) Level of verification, more expensive ones generally require more ID verification. And some of them provide a web interface that customers can click on the seal and see how they verify your identity.

Other than that, all SSL cert work pretty much the same way. I usually get the $20 type, haven't failed me so far.

I bought 1 from EV1 last year, the bummer was they didn't give me a receipt, took a couple of emails to request a receipt that say what was purchased and the amount (you will need it for tax purpose). Don't know if they've changed that, also I believe they don't have a seal. Usually I buy the one from Godaddy, you get the seal and receipt for an extra $5.
