It appears it's not just Savvis.

There's another thread regarding it. It's 100% of the Softlayer network from what I can see.

I spoke with SoftLayer and network engineers were working on the problem. It appears that the network has recovered.

OK it's back up now but it was more than 10 minutes.. No notice, no nothing, just pure downtime. Couldn't access support either. With all the threads about them going on my blood was boiling. .... breathe..... calm......

Back up here too, but this is a regular thing now - I've never had this kind of issue with any other provider... only the odd time was there routing issues/downtime of any kind.

The downtime lasted a total of 11 minutes and appears to have initiated at: 12:40 EST and ended at 12:51 EST.

If you receive any updates from Softlayer on the issue please post them in the thread.

    Thank you for your time.

    From SoftLayer:
SoftLayer Network engineers detected a network issue on 9/26/2006 at 11:47 CDT that caused some customers connected to one of our Frontend Customer Routers (fcr01.dal01) to have intermittent connectivity loss on the public network. Upon investigation, an internal OSPF routing protocol session reset causing network abnormalities while the router rebuilt its routing table. We are *actively* working with Cisco to prevent the issue from occurring in the future.

I noticed, that after downtime connection to websites in SF is slower than usually. Is it only my issue or not?
