    mod_perl configuration

    I need mod_perl installed on my dedicated cpanel server because cgiproxy is using far too much CPU.

    I was able to run /scripts/easyapache and compiled apache with the perl module, and added the following to my httpd.conf:

    <IfModule mod_perl.c>
    <Location /home/proxy/public_html/cgi-bin/>
    PerlModule Apache:: PerlRun #(no space between : & P)
    SetHandler perl-script
    PerlHandler Apache:: PerlRun #(no space between : & P)
    Options +ExecCGI
    allow from all
    PerlSendHeader Off
    </Location>
    </IfModule>

    The script still runs but I don't believing it's running as it should. If anyone has configured mod_perl I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

    Once I was able to install mod perl in a cpanel machine using this tutorial. Might worth a look:

    Definitely a good read, but I have already compiled Apache with mod_perl. After you compile it with mod_perl, what's the next step and what are the correct settings for my httpd.conf?

    Thanks!
