Correct me if i'm wrong but on the Tualatins, the DUAL processors and the dual mboards have 512K Cache, the single processors come with 256K Cache, only
The reason I believe this is so, is because when clients want to upgrade there Single Tualatin to a DUAL we need to buy a NEW mboard and 2 new processors with 512k cache, as you cant use the 256k cache processors on a dual config.
If, I'm wrong please let me know, as it would be cheaper for our clients and for us, if we could use the same processors on a single and dual configuration.
Just my 2 cents.

It's for a dedicated server, not colo, so over clocking isn't really an option. I just checked on IBM's website (the make of the P3 server), and it has 256k of L2 cache. Btw, I'm primarily going to be selling game servers on this...I'll be doing a little web hosting of my own, but that's where most of the resources will be used.
