Sites down again and so is their server at HE.NET and with it, themooseisloose.com site as well.
Any customers been informed?
Evidently they got bit by yet another problem updating cpanel. I've been down all day again. At least it's Sunday and my phone isn't ringing off the damned hook.
They didn't update their voicemail this time, but they did post a bulletin at their relatively new support site -- the 3rd support site we've seen in the past 12 months it seems like. http://themooseisloose.net/supportsystem/ Their site is up at least.
They've got a patchwork of various cpanel servers in various data centers, and they dont' seem to have a very good way of going through them quickly if there's a problem with a Cpanel upgrade, which seems to happen rather frequently.
Still down here too. Friend of a friend says that the boxes got cratered during the cpanel update and they've been working non-stop manually rebuilding DNS on each of the I think he said nearly 20 servers. Evidently the auto cpanel patch completely hosed the servers. They made reference to the cpanel patch thread that's raging in the main forum.
They're turning off auto-updates now I guess which should help a lot. 3 or 4 servers are left to fix and I guess we're all so lucky to on the last remaining ones.
Why other providers aren't having so much trouble is a great question.
