I've been having problems with the sites I have in hostgator all this day... I can't even enter their site... what's going on´?

Your ISP must be having problems, I can get to their site. Try using a proxy to get to their site.

No, I still can't... I'm afraid it might be some sort of virus that uses websites to spread... any ideas? Is anyone else having problems with hostgator??

Can you do a traceroute from your machine?

1. Click on Start and choose Run
2. Type in cmd and click ok (if you get an error type command instead)
3. At the DOS prompt type in:

tracert hostgator.com

Paste your results to us so we can all see. I would think it is a very low possibility you can not see hostgator because of a virus.

Hostgator is having problems today. Believe me, I feel your pain. They are doing another cpanel upgrade and they always have problems after this upgrade. If you want to get pissed, you'll have to wait in line behind the rest of us.

Have you guys tried contacting HostGator directly? They have a pretty good sized community forum and live chat as well as helpdesk and phone number 24/7 it seems. Might want to try contacting them using those methods until they can give you an update.

Go to www.siteuptime.com and check to see if you can access your sites.
Most likely the problem is your internet connection.

Yes, I am having problems with all my sites on HostGator. At the moment they are all up. But earlier they were going up and down faster than Monica Lewinski. They are performing upgrades to cpanel on their servers. SOunds like they must be done with mine and have moved to yours. Plan on having issues for at least 4-5 hours.

What is your site URL? I'll check it from the US to see if I can access it.

Can you get to your cpanel?

Mine have been good for about 30 minutes. They must have moved on to molesting someone elses (MCS2006) server.

I doubt the issue is on yor end MCS2006, they have been having issues all day. They always do when they do this upgrade.
