    Anyone home at Verio?

    Hi,

Can anyone see Verio? I am timing out over here and all the phone numbers I have for them or can find online are not being answered.

Server just tanked and all monitoring systems caught it and reported it as down. No high loads, just did an audit and everything looked good, reports were fine this morning. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

    Can you see anything?

Power failure in Sterling, VA data center. Main generator failed. I'm showing sites starting to come back up, though email is spotty.

    Ah. That will do it.

Thanks for letting me know I was not alone John.

Where are you getting your information?

I had two phone #'s, both overloaded so not working. I called my account manager, and he let me know after looking into it.

Our MPS was down for about an hour.

It came up half an hour ago, but with no DNS (which is odd... DNS, and backup, are all in the VA center??)

DNS seems to have been restored 5 minutes ago.

The one server we have there just came back up.

    11:48:03 up 178 days, 17:20, 1 user, load average: 0.05, 0.01, 0.00

Looks like the power didn't affect it.

Lets wait and see what the DC says.

Well our site just went back up at 1:15. And so did their main site. Hopefully this means that the Power Outage issue is resolved.

Down again at 9:20pm ET.... all my Sterling, VA servers down. A call to Verio hotline says that both Sterling, VA and Boca Raton, FL datacenters are "experiencing issues".

Ridiculous... they just had an outage last week and now again. An email was sent to customers about the incident pointing them to http://www.viaverio.com/SIR/ -- but that site is down!
