normal for error log to get huge?
i do have a bit of errors to cleanup but the log is growing to a gig or so a day, luckily my system removes it daily just wondering if busy sites can typically get large logs like this?..
yeah with tons of errors. but no, that's not normal. What are the errors?
you may want to tail the file a couple times a day to see what it is complaining about "tail -f errorlogfilename" or change your error log to point to /dev/null vice a file if you dont care about the contents (assuming unix/apache)
yes, thats normal.
You most likely have a ton of favicon.ico entries that you could eliminate just by creating an icon.
maybe eliminating some 404s would help as well
also, i notice my 4gigs memory is 94% used. if i restart apache it goes to 34% then gradually climbs, is that normal as well?
upgraded vbulletin and photopost so mostly a bunch of photopost errors, i opened a ticket with them for some help.
