Broadband speed guide help please...
Hi all.
I currently have a broadband connection (512kbps) and get around 55kbps when downloading files. However, what ideally would be the speed times for the following:-
1MB
2MB
4MB
8MB
16MB
TIA - Dav

Take each conection in kbits/sec and divide by 8 to get the KB/s speed. This will give you the speed you could get in perfect conditions.
512/8 = 64KB/s dowload etcSteve

For reference sake 512 is less then 1mb so it is kind of slow in today’s terms. Average dsl is usually like 1.5mb cable usually like 4mb depending on the companies.
