    mplayer tar

    Hi,

I need to install mplayer on a system running centos 4.4. Everywhere I look the first step says to download tar. Could anyone that has installed mplayer on a linux box running centos tell me what directory to download the tar too?

    Kind Regards,

    Les

Why would you need mplayer for a server box? The easiest way to do this is simply yum install mplayer. Myplayer does require X and I don't see you using X on a server, period.

I have a feeling that this is not on a server.
