    antivirus on vps?

    i tried to install on my VPS virtuozzo dr web antivir but its spider guard does not launched properly it says that some boot hook driver NT not loaded, something else not loaded....
    i think dr web need real computer not emulated...

    so whats the best av for vps?

    Dr.Web should work but it is uses more resources then ClamAV. I would recommend checking out ClamAV for a VPS..

    Why so? Seems quite popular and it's free. Dr.Web however should work. I would ask your host to take a look why your having issues.. Are you using Plesk with it?

    DrWeb actually comes with plesk so I do know it works on virtuozzo

    I don't know what os you are using but here is what I have learned on windows vps

    I tried several antivirus, such as norton cooporate , mcaffee etc, and they all install, but thier active monitoring will not work on a vps,

    You can run manual scans etc, but none of the antivirus software will run active shield, ( scan every file comming and going live )

    ClamAV works fine on all of my virtuozzo VPS's using DA

    Same here. ClamAV is way better than Dr. Web in the sense of it not screwing EVERYTHING up.

    i disagree I would love to see drweb rather than clamav.... drweb is good and easy going
