Help me out! Disk Space Problems

My current disk usage looks like this:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/hda4 71G 55G 13G 82% /
    /dev/hda1 966M 20M 897M 3% /boot
    none 220M 0 220M 0% /dev/shm
    /dev/hda3 966M 17M 900M 2% /tmp
    /tmp 966M 17M 900M 2% /var/tmp

The problem is, the accounts on the server are only supposed to take up 9GB max. So, I cnsider 9GB + 3-4GB of OS installation, and the server shouldn't even be using 15GB of the / partition. I believe some backups are lying around in the server when I didn't properly configure it, so if somebody could help me out as to how to find out what directory is using up how much space, it'd be great.

Is there a command to see how much space a directory is using? I'm running Red Hat Fedora Core 2
