Is there a faster way to convert video files to divx?
Using the DivX converter it seriously takes hours to convert 1 regular length movie (~2hrs) to divx format. Is there a reason it takes so long? Is there any way I could speed it up?

It takes a long time as it's a big job. A better processor or dedicated card would speed things up a bit. 2 hours isn't actually that bad, it used to take all day.

You have no idea how much processing power is going on in the background have you?
A faster Graphics Card will probably help though
Use a more powerful pc, that's all I can think of.
