SMTP Problem (I think)
I've been trying to send an emai to [email protected] but I keep on getting the following error:
2006-09-13 09:01:58 1GNUNH-0005tj-Hd ** [email protected] R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period
I tried to send an email to that address from a hotmail account and it was received properly. As such, this leads me to believe the problem is originating from my server.
I'm running a cPanel box with Exim.
I went to the WHM mail queue and hit deliver on the problem email and got the following:
Message 1GNLbA-0003Zz-3q is no longer frozen

What the...? Is Mac.com blocking my server?
Tryin the ping/tracert the server from your server where you are trying to send the mail and see if you get a response. This should show you the picture.
Do you have your reverse DNS setup for you mail server's IP address? Many hosts reject mail from servers without one... Good luck
Yes, I have reverse dns setup. I also tested it at dnsstuff.
