apache virtual configuration
Someone had mentioned a way to use virtual apache configs, this way you wouldn't have to reboot apache each time you add a new domain to your box.
Can you tell me what dso I need to use?
Also is there a conversion tool to grab the configs you have now, and migrate them to the external files?
The only way I can think of is by restarting Apache gracefully.
Usuaully: /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl graceful
Thats how you restart apache, but I am looking for a way to have the configuration dynamic, rather then all in the httpd.conf file....
Have them in external .conf files then add an include into the main httpd.conf
Is this what you want?
That's not dynamic, since its only parsed at start-up. Graceful isn't a full restart, as it doesn't kill the entire process tree, only the childs.
