OK these could sounds very noobish, but i recently bought a dedicated windows machine, for some gameservers. All the gameservers work fine, but I would like to change the password of the server when I connect with remote desktop.
Also, Can my provider look what I have on, my server when I change this password or? Can there be only one login or can my provider have something like a viewer of what I store on the hd.
You can very well change the password by following these steps,
Right click my computer > manage > choose local user and groups under system tools tree > user > in right side panel right click the user for which you need to change the password > choose set password.
Well, if you need to have only one user(that's you) to access the server, please go a head and remove the other users from the adminitrator groups.
You can see list of user added to the administrator group by Right click my computer > manage > choose local user and groups under system tools tree > groups > in right side panel right click the administrator group and check for any other user has added.
FYI: If you have any unknown user ,check whether it is related to the DC guys.
If you change the password for the administrator user, your host willl not aware of it. So you are the key maker for your server .
