My site has been down at Serverseed for almost 4 days now, and has been going down consistently for two weeks.
I have submit multiple support requests and not gotten ANY response. Site is still down, tickets are still open and ignored.
I even emailed Tyler Lott, Serverseed's owner ([email protected]) about it, and got no response.
The kicker? I got an email update about Serverseed from Mr. Lott a few weeks ago claiming they were moving to a new datacenter which would be more reliable AND hiring an extra support tech! Yeah right!
This company is AWFUL. I have been losing money. I can't get into my account to get access to my customer database (locked up in phpAudit), and this whole affair is just making me VERY angry. I had JUST payed for another 3months of service in August, too.
Serverseed is getting complaints all over for their lack of support at present time. They apparently had a support manager that screwed them over and have been looking for a new until recently when they apparently found one and they have said to be "catching up with tickets".
I've heard nothing bad about them until just recently and indeed it is a situation Tyler Lott should do something with, especially telling his customers what is going on.
I agree--it wouldn't take much for Tyler to do a mass mailing alerting his customers to the status of the problem... and the servers being down for 5-6 days is unacceptable regardless of the support issues. It seems things have gotten worse since Tyler supposedly hired a new support guy.
I can certainly appreciate being screwed over by a slacking hire... but... it sounds like it has been going on for 3-4 weeks now, and my site has been down for almost a week without any response from them. :/
Aparently (I'm using the P2L thread as a base, which I think all customers might have a use of), the owner there has got into contact with Tyler Lott and apparently he is working on getting everything back and that we all should expect him to post something in reposnse there soon. Good thing I don't use serverseed myself, this is just a nightmare.
Yep. Dan from P2L apparently got in touch with Tyler... glad he's ok (when you just disappear off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks people start to assume the worst!)... but so far my ticket is still unanswered and those 4 servers are still down. :/
I'm more concerned about the server being put back up than the ticket being answered, at this point! Hope that happens soon.
Update: I eventually got a reply from Tyler Lott, only AFTER Dan from Pixel2Life bugged him about it on my behalf. But Tyler just asked some questions about stuff I'd already said in the thread (like what domain the problem was effecting), told me it was an isolated problem that would be fixed soon. And then disappeared.
Now I have been ignored for 3 more days. And my site is still down... going on 11 days now...
Looks kinda dead everything and still Tyler keeps informing everyone this is under control and all. They aren't accepting new submissions until it has been solved totally and they've been running smooth service for a while. I would have moved hosts ages ago though.
