    1packet troubles

well so far i was very impressed with 1packet, i have one of the 100mbit unmetered which run quite smoothly

but today since about 4pm im getting terrible speeds on the server (went from about 50mbit constant to about 1mbit),

at first i taught i was DOSed but the serevr load barely went above 0.1 and there wasnt that many connections

so i started pinging and im gettin alot of packet loss,
also transfering files between my other servers (all in europe on 100mbit connections) is dismally slow

i emailed them but no reply, i cant find any phone to ring.

is anyone else on 1packet having this problem?

can people paste in their pings to 83.133.125.210

thanks and hopefully this will be reolved soon

    Request timed out.
    Ping statistics for 83.133.125.210:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 2, Lost = 2 (50% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 40ms, Maximum = 40ms, Average = 40ms

im in uk so the ones that did ping are only slightly higher then average

seems to be a problem with either the port on their switch / cabling or your server since the 1paket.com server (same switch apparently
    ) doesn't have the packetloss.

Doesn't look good. You may want to get in touch with companies which have expereince in high bandwidth/large file systems hosting. If nothing else they will help you with very cost effective global load balancing - so you won't have problems like you've mentioned before

this only one of few servers i own and didnt have any trouble untill today, all the other servers (from hetzner.de, giga-international.com,leaseweb,amenworld) are running smoothly

im glad to know it a network related problem

i got an email back that it was fixed, but i still get ~40%packet loss

i can barely login thru putty! its really frustrating

i shut down all network services (mysqld/lighttpd) but the pings are still dyin

Read his post again - he already tried with no reply.
I'd venture a guess that he hadn't waited very long for a response - I've never seen them claim that they provide 24/7 support and never seen them provide it. Remember that they're in Germany...a completely different time zone.
