Themoosisloose.net and hosted sites is down for 6 hours now. No communication, no response for tickets, no telephone. Anyone knows something?
themooseisloose.net (with an e) is probably what was meant here. Yeah, they're taking it on the chin again. Very frustrating.
If you try to open a support ticket you get a really neat SQL error now. Not that support tickets necessarily get prompt attention there anyway. Or voice mails returned. I know smackdaddy hangs around these parts, but has been absent lately. Wonder if MIS is yet another sinking ship in shared hosting?
I stand corrected. Only the main site is up, the customers still have to wait. You can send in a ticket by another route: http://www.nexussix.net/ticket/. You even get an answer that you don't understand.
Last May they had another major outing without any communication.

I think she's still around... but she needs to do some *** kicking in the customer communication department if you ask me. I've been with several webhosts, and MIS appears to be the worst at letting customers know what the hell is going on, and unfortunately in my experience they haven't had bulletproof uptime either to make it worthwhile.
If they use cPanel servers, try the IP address. cPanel released a bad update a few days ago which broke the hell out of the named service causing it to crash. If they didnt notice, and only check to see if the server is online by going to WHM by IP, it's very possible they dont know the named service is crashing. Either that or they are stupid if they cant figure out what is wrong in that case. Either way, IF thats the problem, I would leave their service. I had it fixed in my servers less than 20 minutes after it happened. 5-6 days is insane.
Are you sure its the server down? I've been having this problem since last week where apparently my IP is being blocked by thier firewall or anti-dos software.
It was discovered by using thier tool on thier support page,
and using a proxy to view my site
a few days last week, most of the weekend, and now again this morning I'm blocked from access, but now thier server service status and trouble ticket pages are running errors.
theMooseisloose.net (aka MIS) has several different servers. The one that hosts my buddy's reseller account and evidently ones that feed some of their own main server pages and support forms is STILL pooched. No return phone calls, no return emails (possibly because their site appears to be quite affected by this as well).
He's been down all day and can't get any status out of the folks. Very frustrating, but par for the course for them.
I wonder if that cpanel update borked em though as they have name servers down, but it could also be a big hardware failures. Hard to say.
I'm probably not on the same server as you, but I didn't have any downtime today. They've been pretty good about helping me out in the past...I got right through via phone when the mailserver stopped working.
