    ssl issue.

I have generated a private key, CSR, and certificate for a subdomain that I created. Now when I try to access the subdomain via the secure url https:// secure.subdomain.com there is a pop up window saying : the connection has terminated unexpectedly.
What is wrong? Is there anything I should do to use the secure connection. I want to be able to do things like proceed user accounts login through the encryption.
    any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

You have taken the first steps but have you installed your certificate? Also, are you using a control panel or editing config files?

Can you telnet to your.subdomain.com on port 443?

On your computer if it is running windows go to start -> run and type cmd then click ok. In the command prompt window type telnet sub.domain.com 443 where sub.domain.com is your subdomain. Does it connect?

If you are running OSX go to applications -> terminal and type the same command, what is the outcome?

seems to be IP conflict. Have you binded the site with dedicatedIP or
Are you able to access the site through IP?.

    /etc/init.d/httpd startssl
