Siteground has been around for a while along with many other similar hosts. Do a search here on wHT you'll be able to gather few reviews to do research with etc..
Look around for reviews here WHT using the search option is probably your best bet.

oh so you guys know of any other good hosting for PHP,FTP, and Admin (CPanel) access support, like basicly I am making a FAN SITE like Entertainment, so like the host should be good also with hosting forums(discussion boards), any good top name suggestions please fast?
Never go with Siteground! They host almost 650+Sites per server...stats not updated for past 20 days...just 7 free support tickets, backup option is paid at 25$ per backup, many cpanel options disabled, server always overloaded and you can't reach their full bandwidth at any cost!!
Well - ride it out and if you find that you are starting to experience bad service - you can always switch. There 1000's of other providers that offer affordable hosting - which gives the client (you) alot more power these days on your demands.
Why is it when ever I find a site to host with, in my budget, It gets bad reviews ?
Well you have to remember a few things:
1. Eval the person leaving the review, lots more people go out and leave negative reviews, esp when they have WHT standards . Is the person correct in being critical of their host? Are they prone to exagerate? Its really hard to be fair when you are pissed about something.
2. Its not always the hosts fault. Some people bitch because they got kicked because their site is getting too much traffic for shared hosting. Or they are blaming their host for php problems on a script the host doesn't support, or something like that.
3. Shared hosting by its nature is not the most stable in the world, hosts have hundreds of servers, and any one person on a server can cause that server problems. Hosts have to fix that as quickly as possible. Maybe the person bitching got on a server that had someone causing problems with load, or a bad script, or spamming etc. Sometimes it just takes a little patience. Just keep in mind that doesn't mean it should happen every month but once in a while is normal for shared hosting.
hope that helps, i've heard good things about siteground and a few bad, do a s earch and try to get collective opinion.
I had used SiteGround for abour a year and a half and only had a couple problems. Downtime maybe once or twice at first but had about a year of no downtime (As far as I am aware). I had gotten up to using about 180 gigs of bandwidth and everything still went smooth no termination or anything, I was running a vBulletin and mkportal along with a few tutorial scripts. They're support was really great and fast (American to! :p) I cancelled my account a couple month ago (June I think) because of some bad changes. Only up to 7 technical support tickets support got slower. I dont know how it is now but I heard it's getting worse.
Well overall my experience with them was maybe 9/10.
Cancellation took maybe a day but was very simple no questions were asked. Just a simple email to them and no more billing.
And they do not allow streaming if your wandering.
I just signed up with them 2 days ago. support has been great and fast. however the sites have been up and down the whole time so far. Just switched from a different host because of problems. ugh. I hope it is a coindidence.
oh and nothing about ticket limits that i have seen
hostgator.com, dreamhost.com, mediatemple.com ... there are quite a few
I've heard many bad reviews about all of these. Do your reasearch in-depth, and don't be affraid to ask your potential host many detailed questions. If they can not answer all of them, i would move on. Also always follow the old saying "You get what you pay for" and ask yourself this question "Wow cheap price for soo much space and bandwith, how many others are taking advantage of this?" The answer will most likely be, 100's if not 1000's.
I would not use Siteground if they were the last web hosting company in the planet. We are in the process of attempting to serve legal papers on them for "Breach Of Contract" but not having much luck as all our atempts to server papers have been returned undelivered.
From further investigation we believe that their operations are not in the USA as they claim but they are run out of Bulgaria. Our refund from them came from Bulgaria, not the USA.

Guys I haven't yet bought anything from SiteGround! One reason being that I am in partnership with another person and he doesn't like that you would have to pay for 2yrs in a contract to get the best deal sth like $4.95/month!
So guys u know of any hosts who doesn't have those contracts but still do less then $5/month! Again I will only be using it for a forum, and Coppermine gallery?
Plz tell me and some of you say get a refer or sth from WHT well I dun know how to do that can someone help?
I am getting a lot of help here this place is awsome! Good job for ppl who run it!
