Intel P4 3.6 A vs AMD Sempron 2600 A
first of all i want to know what is different between :
AMD Sempron 2600 and AMD Sempron 2600 A ?
Intel P4 3.6 and Intel P4 3.6 A ?
and is this intel HT ?
and sempron 2600 A is faster or Intel P4 3.6 A ?
A? There are no 'A' revisions... ask whoever is selling them to you what the heck they mean by 'A'.
As for the CPUs... the Sempron is on par with the Celeron, the P4 3.6 will be dramatically faster.

I love AMD, but on this case its going to have to be the Intel P4 3.6A. Sempron is the equivalent to a celeron, for a server, thats rubbish, go for the P4A version!
i found this page :
AMD Sempron 2600+ (Socket A, 1.83GHz, 256KB L2);
AMD Sempron 2600+ (Socket 754, 1.6GHz, 128KB L2);
its about 2 times faster than normal Sempron 2600 and some times faster than Athlon 3500 and P4 3.4E ! loolz
The Pentium 4 wins in this comparism. You should definitely stick with that.
= and sempron 2600 A is faster or Intel P4 3.6 A ? =
P4 3.6 is better ofcourse.
The P4 could eat the Sempron for breakfast, definitely go with the P4 if you need it. If you want something smaller, because you don't need it, then get the AMD. If you need all of the P4's power, get it.
