Allowing customers to update own website

Hi folks. I'm a graphic designer looking for a solution that will allow clients to update their own website, ie: change the text and pictures. I understand ColdFusion allows you to do this, but I was wondering if there is another answer.

Suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers.

Any of the CMS systems out there will let you do this...

This is one I'm looking in to:
http://www.cmsmadesimple.org

You can also google-search "CMS". Here is an article you might enjoy:

And at http://www.opensourcecms.com, you can try many of the popular systems out there, all from one site.

You could also go with creating those pages in Dreamweaver and locking certain areas of the file so no one can edit them. Of course, the customer would have to have a copy of Dreamweaver as well.

It isn't cost effective, but it's a solution
