Setup RaQ 4r as a router?

Is it possible to setup a 4r as a dedicated router? I haven't been able to find any documentation on anyone doing it, nor anything about using both nics. Does anyone have some insight on doing this?

Install CentOS and configure up iptables and you're set to go.

4r as a dedicated router

Sure... Becasue the RaQ4 has dual ethernet all you need to do is restore the server with the Qube3 iso and your good to go! I think I'm going to make some updates for the Qube's shortly btw...

You Should be able to restore to any version of the Qube3

You can get the iso's here
ftp://ftp.cobalt.sun.com/pub/iso/Qube3-EOL/

Thanks Zeffie!

Will the Qube3 OS also work as a file server? I've got access to a number of Raq3's and a few 4's and I'm more or less learning the options available for them aside from a normal web appliance.

Yes the Qube3 uses samba (windows file sharing) by default. There are other ways to share files too like nfs...
