The more budget you go, the more likely it'll look like it was kicked over the Atlantic. We shipped quite a bit of kit over at an affordable price with DHL, but we paid the price in terms of damage in the end.
Don't touch FedEx with a barge pole - they trashed our servers then refused to pay out on the insurance we paid for, UPS have been reasonable for us so far but I'm just waiting for them to trash something too.
Have you got an account with FedEx / UPS? That price does seem pretty steep compared to what we have paid in the past for single servers.
