    Why?

Why are places like myspace and youtube so freakin' popular? Youtube hosts 6 million videos and grows 20% each month.. at that rate in a year it'll host 53 million videos...

Myspace has like what, 100 million users?

Why are websites like this getting so extemely popular when they have been around forever in other forms (myspace is just Xanga and Face the jury combined.. youtube is just a video form of imageshack..)

Internet success can be defined as 25% product or service, 25% marketing, and 50% being in the right place, at the right time.

Okay, so that makes no sense. How are they like those places if you are stating how they are different?

youtube and imageshack are TOTALLY different.

YouTube has videos, ImageShack, images...YouTube has PLENTY more features then imageshack as well.

Now Xanga...MySpace has MANY different features then Xanga as well...so you can't say they are the same then go about saying what is different about them in the same sentence.

Its 100% marketing, if you market something right it becomes the next hot thing and once it becomes hot it becomes huge.

And to add to phill2003's post about marketing, it mostly viral marketing that helps the most.
You are unique, just like everyone else.

Drinks are basically just liquid forms of food - why do we need both?

No clue, I personally blend all my drinks and food together and drink them through a straw.

Go to browse, and set your filter for 18 - 22 year old single women who live within 5 miles of your zip code.

Some of the worst web design you will ever see.
