Which servers would you go with?
I run a network of proxies that are quickly outgrowing their hosting situation..
I have the option of buying (for a similar price)
Slightly Cheaper Option 1:
ONE AMD Dual Core Dual Opteron 865 - 8 x 1.8GHz Processors - 8 x 1MB Cache with 4GB of RAM.
Slightly More Expensive Option 2:
TWO Intel Dual Core Dual Xeon Dempsey 5050 - 4 x 3.0GHz Processors with HT - 4 x 2MB Cache each with 2GB of RAM each.
If you were running high traffic (10mil+ pageviews per month) proxies, which option would you go with?
Thanks for any and all help
Are those quanities?

Back to the original post...
I would pick the 2 dual xeon servers, more overall cpu power.
Yes, either one server or two servers, sorry I should have clarified.
iBold, I may have mis-read your original post. For the xeon server, are there 2cpus per server or 4 per server?
Get the Dempseys. We've been selling the heck out of them lately; they're awesome performers.

We are *not* a reseller. We own our servers, switches, routers and racks.
Definitely the 2 servers, it just helps spread the overall load around. Dempseys are pretty good, but they have nothing on the woodcrest.
