We currently have most of our servers at Peer1(Ontario,Canada), but that was mainly to do with the provider , So we were thinking about trying out some datacenters, and were wondering what you guys think of Peer1 and Networkx ?
Have you used them? what are they like ?
Any others you reccomend?
Also on a side note, if anyone know a really good UK datacenter, that would also help.
I am currently co-locating in the iweb.ca datacenter, i have visited their new dc2 and it is very impressive.
on other hand if you own rackmountable servers i suggest http://www.existhosting.com/ , I have not been with them but i hear great things about them. They were my first choice but they do not co-locate tower size servers.
Redbus is smooth. There are a few others worth while but I would do a rich research of WHT for reviews and such before you trust your service in just any company. Get enough stats to help make an educated decision. One thing to consider - if you are just renting - check to see if the DC offers colaction and rackmounts for your future growth because why bother shopping around again if you found a place you like. Grow with them. Just my thoughts.
That's interesting. I am finding Peer1 to be getting better. Which DC were you working with?
Their network isn't as good as they say. Their latency isn't as good as they say. Their NOC isn't as good as they say. etc. It's just overpriced and sometimes even below average network wise. They don't have that much peering, really...
