I have about 6 sites all with php/mysql shopping carts and forums (little traffic as most were hosted on cheap shared hosts without a problem) I am expanding this fall but need to put everything on one dedicated.. (I have a customer who uses godaddy but I am unhappy with certain features they offer or don't)
Cpanel.. unless someone can recommend a managed services provider that does require it.
I would like to get as much as I can for no more than $100 (otherwise I will stay with my shared plans) The $100 would not include any fee's I will be paying a third party if I am unable to harden this server myself..
no, that didn't include the managed services.. I was planning on using platinumservermanagement but they required cpanel..
I signed up for what I think is a great deal at burst.net
CPU: Intel Pentium 4™ 2.4GHZ

Hard Drive: 60GB IDE or 36GB SCSI
IP Addresses: 5
Port: 10/100MBPS SWITCHED VLAN
Management: BASIC MANAGED
DDOS Protection: TOP LAYER NETWORKS™
I saw where he said he is "planning" on using burst.net, however I gave him more options as I have used burst.net and did not have good results. However instead of forcing my opinions on people, I gave him another place to look if he so wants to.
Please do not assume you know what my reasons for posting are, thanks.
