    is there any opensource desktop program to remote access mysql?

    something like Navicat?

    a windows desktop program that allow you to connect to the server and remote admin just the database. i believe mysql administrator allow you to admin the entire mysql. i'm looking for something like phpmyadmin but for desktop.

    Mysqladmin follows the permissions you set up anywhere else. The person using it isn't going to be able to access the admin features without the password.

    There's this, but I think it's a bit more than what you're looking for.

    OpenOffice.org has some MySQL access stuff built in but I've never looked at it and have absolutely no idea what it does or what it's for.

    Or, you could install desktop linux.
