Question

Cisco stuff :)

Hi everyone! Two things, here:

1. Someone's having a little trouble implementing InterVLAN routing and 802.1Q trunking between their 2620 router (IOS version c2600-d-mz.121-4.bin) and 2950 switch (IOS version c2950-i6q412-mz.121-22.EA1.bin). All VLANs except the default VLAN are routing Ok...I need to get that one working for them somehow. Any idea what could be wrong? I think it may be a version conflict in the IOS's, but I just don't know!

2. I've got a 2950 switch where the fellow who owns it forgot the passwords he was using. How can we get his passwords back without completely erasing the config?

Thanks, guys, for any light that can be shed!

Would be nice to see your configs in case its a config error. I dont know of a way to recover passwords on the 2950 without going into ROMMON and flashing the config so its set back to nothing.

From the Cisco site:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...80094184.shtml

Looks like it copies the old config to config.old but to be absolutely sure just tftp it to a server. You can then recover the config file from the server once the password has been reset. We have done that a few times in the past but it was a 2950 but a 3000 series switch. The method still applies.
