Is there a way to restrict functions in php.ini so I don`t have to use safe_mode ??? I would like to keep if enabled, but users have been complaining about it.

btw, you can enable safe_mode on the whole server, and turn it off for each user who needs it off

Well, I have lots of users that I`m hosting, plus our hosting is quite automated, so I can`t loose the safe_mode. I was testing some security measures, and without safe_mode we were quite vulnerable. That`s why I`m leaving the safe_mode on. I would disable the master safe_mode but it`s just too risky. Do you know a reference comparing disable_functions techniques to limit the amount of of processes that safe_mode does ?
