I've got a customer trying to access his site via the temporary server IP url while his nameservers are updating on his domain.

The temp. server IP address for this account is http://69.93.247.140/~socialbo/ . If you notice by clicking this, it redirects to the following: http://www.69.93.247.140/ , which is incorrect and shows a "server not found" error.

Other account on the server work just fine witht he server IP url:
http://69.93.247.140/~websolve/
http://69.93.247.140/~ddgfxco/


Anyone know what is causing this? This account is active on the server, and was set up.

No problem from here.
When I click to provided link, I go to http://69.93.247.140/~socialbo/

Maybe fixed already?

Edit httpd.conf and put "UseCanocialName" to Off as a workaround. It stops the system re-directing to the vps hostname

No problem from here at my end on the http://69.93.247.140/~socialbo/

It is asking me login credentials.

Thanks for the info a2b2, however, this diddn't work.

Also, the guy seems to have put up a login prompt, so this doesn't happen until you log in.


Any other ideas?

It seems that the httpd.conf has got wrong configurations at the VirtualHost entry for this domain.
