    I've only really ever used CuteFTP, it's done what I've wanted for years.

    I don't like the pro version, I like the one that is several years old now.

    I have been using SmartFTP ever since I started using FTP access. It's a great program and is very easy to understand.

    CuteFTP Pro. Excellent threaded file transfer system. Best interface of all ftp clients out there.

    FileZilla is good - http://filezilla.sf.net

    They update it pretty often with new versions, so I'd recommend subscribing to the new release notification that SF provides.

    For windows WS_FTP and for linux gFTP.

    I used SmartFTP for a few years, but I found cute was a little more user friendly and had more transfer options.
