apache (high memusage)


i have server from theplanet:

dual xeon 3.2
ram : 4gb
hdd 2x 250 gb sata


now i have 133 accounts on it and the apache no use a lot of ram i have to make restart for httpd a few times per day or the server going down

and advice for special apache confguration to make it take more

Do some searches for httpd.conf optimization and you'll find some more helpful suggestions.

It depends on the web sites you have (ie: corporate web site vs. large forum). If you can't optimize Apache more than it currently is, maybe try LightTPD with FastCGI

You might also what to consider having a server admin take a lok at your server and optimize it for oyu. There are many great companies out there that perform this type of service.
